A single mom wanted to finally realize her dream of starting her own business once her kids grew up. On Mother's day in 1982, with her kids help, she opened Nail's and Sun. A Nail and Tanning salon that soon grew to include hair and beauty services, and eventually become our quaint little hair salon, Somewhere in Los Altos! We have always believed in empowering our talented and established hair stylists to use and sell their own products, set their own hours and prices, thus giving them the freedom to grow their own business. Some have even moved on to open their own successful salons themselves! Come by to get your hair done, have a good conversation, and enjoy the garden with a cup of tea and a cookie!
