Kelly Rae began her career as a hair stylist in high-end salons in her hometown of Mill Valley. She refined her expertise as a well known hair colorist, and moved to Los Angeles where she was recruited by Beverly Hills hair salons Umberto and David Dru. Her clients included celebrities and entertainment executives who loved Kelly Rae's signature layered hair cuts and her innovative highlighting technique. Also while in Beverly Hills, Kelly Rae became an educator for a plant-based hair coloring line, which spurred her commitment to natural hair coloring and products.
