Base Salon is a luxury, boutique salon in the West Loop that’s anything but bougie. Owner Krysta Rojas sharpened her skills at Solo Salon and Axel + Ivy before opening up Base in January of 2016. Located in the heart of Chicago’s hippest neighborhood on Morgan Street, Base has redefined the hair salon experience with an intimate,six styling stations model inside a glamorous, space that was custom designed by Studio West(think chic art installations, chocolate brown wainscotting and gold accents galore). Here, Base turns clients into brand devotees by always being trend-forward when it comes to hairstyles, colors and cuts, by treating its customers like family, and by carefully vetting its highly trained team to stay on the cutting edge.
